Biblical Mentors are women who have a heart to mentor other women or girls as instructed in Titus 2. They are equipped to mentor others through our training program which teaches them about mentoring, and about the basics of Biblical Counseling. Mentoring, Counseling, and Discipling are all terms that describe One-Another ministry. We want to help equip women to engage in deep, meaningful, and fruitful ministry in their local churches.
WOHM mentors are trained to minister in the context of their local church, under the leadership of their pastor/elders.
WOHM mentors are also trained to know when to refer their mentee to WOHM Biblical Counseling if needed, and to accept referrals to disciple/mentor those who have finished their Biblical Counseling. Their training well equips them to do excellent one-another ministry woman to woman, life on life.
"Counselor", "Discipler", "Mentor" - whatever you call it, we feel that intentional One-Another ministry is best done in the context of the local church. For that reason, we are offering "Biblical Mentor" training so that women can do an excellent job at caring for other women.
Perhaps you are a woman who has an interest in engaging in One-Another ministry of some sort, and you feel drawn to the concepts of Biblical Counseling, disipleship, and mentoring. Some women are not sure how to proceed with some training, and others may want to be able to engage in ministry as soon as possible instead of going through a rigorous, expensive, and long-term school or counseling training program. Our Biblical Mentoring training might just fit your need. It is less indepth, less expensive, and less time-consuming than counselor training; but, it is more indepth than average mentor training that is currently on the market for women. We have a unique blend of mentoring skill training AND basic Biblical Counseling training that will lend itself well to your working with women in your local church setting.
